Gallery 110 in Plymouth, Wisconsin is hosting the 2005 Summer Juried Exhibit for the League of Milwaukee Artists from August 12 through October 2, 2005. The opening reception, from 5:00 to 8:00pm will be included with the Second Annual Plymouth Jazz Crawl Friday August 12, from 5:00pm-1:00am beginning at the Plymouth Arts Center, 520 East Mill Street in historic downtown Plymouth, Wisconsin. Jurors Mike Brenner, owner of Hotcakes Gallery in Milwaukee and a member of the Milwaukee Arts Board, and Dara Larson, associate professor of art at Alverno College stated “It was a pleasure to jury this exhibition. The overall level of technical proficiency and professional presentation were very high among the membership. It is clear that all of the entrants demonstrate an intensity in producing works of quality.” The Best of Show Award went to Alice Rossman for her watercolor "Walk". Awards of Excellence were earned by Klementyna Bazylewicz for her oil "Hollyhocks in a White Vase", Patrice Herbst for her oil still life "Purple Cloth" and Jill Verbick for her acrylic "The Surrender". Additionally, five Honorable Mentions were awarded to artists Joyce Eesley, Julia F. McMurray, Jack Pachuta, Barbara Sorensen Rambadt and Chuck Weber for their outstanding work. Other features that evening include a Fine Art Silent Auction and Raffle surrounded by live Jazz Music at the Center and throughout the city of Plymouth in eight venues.
