February 11 - March 10, 2012
Reception Saturday, February 11, 2012 1-4
Charles Munch has long painted the complicated relationship between man and nature with signature colors and streamlined compositions. Inspired by the nature surrounding his home in rural Wisconsin , Munch's linear and patterned paintings evoke questions and suggest situations of man's place in the world. Tightly organized and depicting striking situations, the paintings in "Playing with Fire" invite speculation and interpretation on the part of the viewer. This is Munch's tenth solo show with Tory Folliard Gallery and he has had numerous museum exhibitions throughout the Midwest .
